Program Access

This term is a concept within Title II of the ADA. A program is an activity or group of activities that constitute a recognizable and distinct component of a Title II entity’s overall function. Examples would be: a medical services program, cash assistance program, or a basketball program. All programs of a Title II entity must, when viewed in their entirety, be accessible to this protected class – the disabled. Reasonable Accommodations are required unless those accommodations meet the standards of “Undue Burden” or “Financial Burden.”
